Spectators: 6200 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Hakuna Matata's goal looked a bit too open when Valdomiro de Almeida came free, but Franklin da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 6 minutes, Wilson Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caruara SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 8th minute when Wilson Bastos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Franklin da Cunha didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Caruara SS's Wilson Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Caruara SS getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. José Maria Sena hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes Hakuna Matata got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Ramalho. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdomiro de Almeida in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franklin da Cunha saved Hakuna Matata from getting behind. In the 30th minute Valdomiro de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Caruara SS's zone, Erik de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Paranaense came out of the goal and Erik de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franklin da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilson Bastos in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute Erik de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Caruara SS booed when Hakuna Matata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Frédson Magalhães sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hakuna Matata's Franklin da Cunha didn't even have to move. In the 65th match minute, Hakuna Matata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Caruara SS's Frédson Magalhães tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Luizão de Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hakuna Matata's protests and gave Luizão de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hakuna Matata's Luizão de Carvalho got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 72 minutes of play, Caruara SS's Wilson Bastos made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franklin da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caruara SS's goalkeeper Valdir Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Maria Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Victor Carioca took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Paranaense. Valdir Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. If Erik de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Caruara SS's Valdir Paranaense got control of the ball when Victor Carioca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilson Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin da Cunha having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Carioca got free with Valdir Paranaense in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Wilson Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Caruara SS had won after a very even match.
