The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Carlos Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Chaves in the 5th minute of play forced Pensamento's goalkeeper Luan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmo Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Dalmo Salles was a little too slow when Emerson de Moraes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Emerson de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Dalmo Salles made a huge save. Emerson de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Dalmo Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Secura's Dalmo Salles got control of the ball when Murilo Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Secura's goalkeeper Dalmo Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celsinho Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Dalmo Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pensamento. Celsinho Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Secura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celsinho Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. Celsinho Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ediberto de Toledo during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pensamento booed when Secura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Pensamento's Emerson de Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dalmo Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Emerson de Moraes took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmo Salles. Dalmo Salles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Dalmo Salles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murilo Santana went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute, Murilo Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Emerson de Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frederico Branco struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Dalmo Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pensamento. The supporters of Pensamento booed when Secura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hudson Silveira made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Emerson de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pensamento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luan Sanches was a little too slow when Iuri de Medeiros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 4-1. The Pensamento fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Pensamento's Emerson de Moraes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson de Moraes in the 69th minute of play forced Secura's goalkeeper Dalmo Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmo Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Rodrigues in the 74th minute of play. Luan Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Frederico Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pensamento's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emerson de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emerson de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dalmo Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 minutes Secura's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Egídio Perez who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Egídio Perez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Secura's Dalmo Salles did a great save. If Frederico Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes Secura got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Palmeira. After 97 minutes, Iuri de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Secura and the Pensamento players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iuri de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Pensamento were the better team. Pensamento's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
