If Edvaldo Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvaldo Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Dias having to interfere. Tomás Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Gonçalves having to interfere. Elder Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hudson Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Elder Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson Campidelis in the 36th minute of the match. Edvaldo Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Sparta Rotterdam's Manfredo Queiroz in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye O mais Temido Fc's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hudson Campidelis to make the kick off. Tiaguinho Dias came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Sparta Rotterdam's Edvaldo Romero. But to his dismay, Edvaldo Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tomás Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Gonçalves having to interfere. Elder Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hudson Campidelis in the 61st minute of play. When Eugênio Zanette fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sparta Rotterdam's protests and gave Eugênio Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. Tiaguinho Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvaldo Romero in the 84th minute. Edvaldo Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tiaguinho Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sparta Rotterdam's goalkeeper Elder Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiaguinho Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvaldo Romero in the 95th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Tiaguinho Dias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
