The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauã Paraibano got free with Falcão Neiva in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 14 played minutes Mati got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Paiva. Baltazar Batista charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltazar Batista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mati booed when Putfire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Kaká Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Putfire's zone, Silvinho Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Bueno came out of the goal and Silvinho Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magno Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Mandrak in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Silvinho Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Mandrak in the 27th minute of the match. Mathias Peixotos short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Falcão Neiva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, Mati's goalkeeper Falcão Neiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauã Paraibano. Mati's Falcão Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Paraibano in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mati's zone, Mathias Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Neiva came out of the goal and Mathias Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kauã Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute, Mathias Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falcão Neiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 39 played minutes Putfire got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Paraibano. Mati's Falcão Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Mati from getting a goal against them. In the 47th match minute, Mati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Penha to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Silvinho Mandrak made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Simão Paiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mati's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Putfire the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathias Peixoto in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Neiva saved Mati from getting behind. Kauã Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Falcão Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Falcão Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Simão Paiva was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Simão Paiva hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Amauri Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathias Peixoto in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Neiva saved Mati from getting behind. 79 minutes into the game, Putfire's Mathias Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falcão Neiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Mathias Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Falcão Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltazar Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Neiva having to interfere. Falcão Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Peixoto in the 92nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Mathias Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Putfire's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Neiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Putfire were the better team. Putfire's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
