Wágner Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Pena in the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Mário Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, Predadores da Bola's Victor Andrade made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wágner Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Pena in the 39th minute of play. If Marcinho Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute Victor Andrade suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Imperatriz - MA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Wágner Amorim had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Luan Soeiro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The Imperatriz - MA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Predadores da Bola were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nildo Motta made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Mário Rosado took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Wágner Amorim to make any attempt to save it. If Ulysses Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Naldo de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Deivid Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imperatriz - MA's supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcinho Aparecido in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Naldo de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Rosado in the 65th minute of play forced Imperatriz - MA's goalkeeper Wágner Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deivid Quadros's late challenge caught a Predadores da Bola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Deivid Quadros helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, Imperatriz - MA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Quadros to maneuver through the defense. Mário Rosado struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Wágner Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Predadores da Bola. With his leg Wágner Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Predadores da Bola's Percival Prado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Predadores da Bola's Naldo de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Quadros in the 81st minute of play. After 82 minutes, Ulysses Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Predadores da Bola and the Imperatriz - MA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Ulysses Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
