After 7 minutes of play, S.E Haineken's Ronaldinho Vinhas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Fernando Brasil was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the match, S.E Haineken's goalkeeper Nelson Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juninho Tande. Nelson Coelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho Tande in the 15th minute. Gonçalo Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Luiz Fernando Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.E Haineken's Nelson Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão da Cunha in the 19th minute of play. Nelson Coelho made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Juninho Tande sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, S.E Haineken's Vasile Barna got a free kick in the 25th minute. Guilherme Matos's late challenge caught a S.E Haineken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guilherme Matos helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Largura FC got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Matos. 33 minutes into the match, S.E Haineken's goalkeeper Nelson Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juninho Tande. After 36 minutes, Juan Quadros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E Haineken and the Largura FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.E Haineken's Juan Quadros got a free kick in the 37th minute. Gonçalo Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Brasil having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldinho Vinhas in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fernando Brasil saved Largura FC from getting behind. After the first half S.E Haineken were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gonçalo Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Brasil having to interfere. Pedro Luís Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, S.E Haineken's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Tande came free, but Nelson Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão da Cunha in the 65th minute of the match. Nelson Coelho came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Largura FC's Ronaldão da Cunha. But to his dismay, Ronaldão da Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Luiz Fernando Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of S.E Haineken booed when Largura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fernando Brasil made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gonçalo Motta sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, S.E Haineken's João Adolfo Lago got a free kick in the 81st minute. Gonçalo Motta struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Luiz Fernando Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E Haineken. In the 91st minute Pedro Luís Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.E Haineken were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
