Deivid Quadros did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Luiz Fernando Brasil 17 minutes into the match. Deivid Quadross short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Luiz Fernando Brasil to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Deivid Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fernando Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Largura FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcinho Aparecido. In the 32nd minute Ronaldão da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wágner Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldão da Cunha went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luiz Fernando Brasil stood somewhat misplaced when Fabrício Leme came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 38 minute. In the 43rd minute, Ezequiel Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wágner Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldão da Cunha to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Ronaldão da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wágner Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho Tande in the 57th minute. With 61 minutes on the clock, Ronaldinho Carvalho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 60th minute, one of Imperatriz - MA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Imperatriz - MA. Imperatriz - MA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Juninho Tande scored to the left of an out of position Wágner Amorim, making the score, 2-4. 69 minutes into the match, Largura FC's Ronaldão da Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wágner Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luiz Fernando Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ezequiel Castro's late challenge caught a Largura FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Ezequiel Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Juninho Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Deivid Quadros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fernando Brasil. Largura FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deivid Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. 84 minutes into the match, Imperatriz - MA's Fabrício Leme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fernando Brasil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nildo Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcinho Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Luiz Fernando Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabrício Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Largura FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Largura FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
