When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Henrique Alvarenga sped through S.E Haineken's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelson Coelho. Nelson Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Alvarenga in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Baltazar Favoretto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Squadra Borges Azzura and the S.E Haineken players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldinho Vinhas made a kick off. Ronaldinho Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Murillo do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E Haineken. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Pedro Luís Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E Haineken's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luís Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murillo do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute Henrique Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, João Adolfo Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrique Alvarengas short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Nelson Coelho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Waldemar Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nelson Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pedro Luís Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Henrique Alvarenga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nelson Coelho came out and tried to block the shot, but Henrique Alvarenga slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 85th minute. Felipe Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Gonçalo Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E Haineken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrique Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedro Luís Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Squadra Borges Azzura's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
