Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fumo's Caetano de Carvalho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juvenal Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Cléberson Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Fumo's Caetano de Carvalho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gildo Couto. That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. Toninho Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juvenal Ceresso in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléberson Lucas saved Fumo from getting behind. If Toninho Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fumo's Cléberson Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Vianna in the 27th minute of play. If Caetano de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Carlos Albuquerque scored 2-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gildo Couto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ledo SS's Gildo Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano de Carvalho in the 41st minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaltino Vianna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ledo SS's Luiz Sergipano got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Ramiro Velasco fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ledo SS's protests and gave Ramiro Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. Ramiro Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Gildo Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gildo Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Ledo SS booed when Fumo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Fumo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Fumo's Toninho Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caetano de Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gildo Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano de Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Caetano de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo Couto having to interfere. Toninho Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gildo Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Fumo were the better team. Fumo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
