The Tigers's Samuca Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Aracnídeos's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Tróia came free, but Dalmo Siqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuca Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, The Tigers's Samuca Tróia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmo Siqueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Geraldo Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samuca Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Samuca Tróia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dalmo Siqueira. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Waldir Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Virgílio Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adhemar Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuca Tróia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcus Leão hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Dalmo Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Geraldo Azevedo got free in front of the goal in the 60th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Dalmo Siqueira was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Aracnídeos getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Zé Augusto Saldanha hit a great ball. In the 65th minute Geraldo Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geraldo Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dalmo Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Aracnídeos got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Saldanha. The crowd rose to their feet as Waldir Breckenfeld kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Virgílio Santana. That made the score 1-2 in the 86 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Azevedo in the 90th minute of play forced Aracnídeos's goalkeeper Dalmo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
