Vânderson Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Geovânio Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Cavalcante in the 12th minute of play. Vânderson Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovânio Meireles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Marquez in the 16th minute of play forced Canoas Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Geovânio Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Vânderson Jacinto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Canoas Futebol Clube's Geovânio Meireles. Geovânio Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonas Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Meireles having to interfere. When Vânderson Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Macucu Sport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vânderson Jacinto couldn't finish the play. Nicasio Semir made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Nico Xavier sent off a good shot on target. Jonas Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Geovânio Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Erik Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canoas Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macucu Sport the free kick. Erik Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Olavo Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Semir having to interfere. The supporters of Canoas Futebol Clube booed when Macucu Sport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macucu Sport's Jonas Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geovânio Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Geovânio Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Macucu Sport's Diogo Prestes got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Marquez to make the kick off. Olavo Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nilmar do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Nicasio Semir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Xavier in the 80th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Nico Xavier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canoas Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Vicente Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macucu Sport's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovânio Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vânderson Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Macucu Sport's Jonas Marquez in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canoas Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Macucu Sport's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
