After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Percival de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. PARNAHYBA's supporters rose to their feet, but Percival de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Pinho in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro da Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Percival de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ramiro da Costa came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by PARNAHYBA's Paulo Pinho. But to his dismay, Paulo Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Marcos Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. Rômulo Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro da Costa having to make a save. Percival de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro da Costa having to interfere. The Taioba FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PARNAHYBA were winning 0-1.

In the 62ndth minute of the game Paulo Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taioba FC's Ramiro da Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Taioba FC's Ramiro da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Taioba FC from getting a goal against them. Walmyr da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. PARNAHYBA's Paulo Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramiro da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Pinho in the 83rd minute of play. When Paulo Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the PARNAHYBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Pinho couldn't finish the play. If Percival de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Alcântara's late challenge caught a PARNAHYBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taioba FC. When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, PARNAHYBA's Percival de Souza got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ramiro da Costa. Ramiro da Costa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when PARNAHYBA's Paulo Pinho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. When the final whistle sounded PARNAHYBA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Taioba FC.
