Spectators: 7213 (Terracing: 5411, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sydney Dantas kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Simões in the 3rd minute of play forced ROMAnguaça FC's goalkeeper Márcio Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sydney Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvério Velasco lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 7 minutes into the game, one of ROMAnguaça FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eduardo Pires shot the penalty kick right outside the post. ROMAnguaça FC's Márcio Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Brasil in the 18th minute of play. When Serafim Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROMAnguaça FC's protests and gave Serafim Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, ROMAnguaça FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Márcio Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Miguel Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luciano Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafim Abreu in the 26th minute. Márcio Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Sydney Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Luciano Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serafim Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sydney Dantas hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dito Brasil was the one to do the kick off. Márcio Berger was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Vicente Teles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vicente Teles really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. ROMAnguaça FC's Márcio Berger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save ROMAnguaça FC from getting a goal against them. Miguel Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Márcio Berger came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by SANTOS FC's Benedito Leme. But to his dismay, Benedito Leme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sydney Dantas struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Luciano Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROMAnguaça FC. After a rather tough play, ROMAnguaça FC's Nando Linares got a free kick in the 74th minute. Márcio Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Brasil in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to SANTOS FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Wilton Simões hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Sydney Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Serafim Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC's Vicente Teles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Márcio Berger narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
