Márcio Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Cícero Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Fernandinho Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marcus Maranhense was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. In the 26th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the game, Andrézinho da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ROMAnguaça FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians the free kick. Andrézinho da Rocha hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. A collision led to ROMAnguaça FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Silvério Velasco hit a great ball. ROMAnguaça FC's Sydney Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cícero Bittencourt made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Andrézinho da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrézinho da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Fernandinho Meirelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROMAnguaça FC. Márcio Berger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernandinho Soares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 60 minute of play. Cícero Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Berger having to interfere. Márcio Berger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cícero Bittencourt in the 75th minute. Márcio Berger came out of the goal and Cícero Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sydney Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROMAnguaça FC's protests and gave Sydney Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. Sydney Dantas hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cícero Bittencourt got free with Márcio Berger in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sydney Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fernandinho Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ROMAnguaça FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Corinthians's performance. The match ended with a win for Corinthians.
