Simão Pimenta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guilherme Freitas having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Caucaia FC's Guilherme Freitas threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Simão Pimenta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 21 minutes into the game, Caucaia FC's Bruninho Guerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guilherme Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Guilherme Freitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Corrêa in the 25th minute. Bruninho Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Guilherme Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dadá Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Pires in the 31st minute of play. Simão Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Simão Pimenta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Guilherme Freitas. The goal made the score 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Guilherme Freitas came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Caucaia FC's Simão Pimenta. But to his dismay, Simão Pimenta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Bruninho Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Freitas having to interfere. Dadá Meireles made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Dino Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute, Hélio Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Estrema getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Aníbal Pires hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruninho Guerra during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dino Ortiz hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Simão Pimenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guilherme Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simão Pimenta ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 80 minutes, Aníbal Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrema's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aníbal Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elias Corrêa hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Natã Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruninho Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Aníbal Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bruninho Guerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guilherme Freitas was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Simão Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caucaia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guilherme Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caucaia FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
