Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dinei Montenegro kicked off to start the match. João Francisco Jacinto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duarte Valladares. Baiazinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Tupancireta SC's Dinei Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duarte Valladares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aílton Paes during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aílton Paes hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Renan Nogueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duarte Valladares. Baiazinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tupancireta SC's goalkeeper Patrick Paulista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabiano Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Duarte Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Baiazinha got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Fontes. Baiazinha's Duarte Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Montenegro in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Tupancireta SC's Fabiano Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duarte Valladares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Belmiro de Toledo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patrick Paulista. Belmiro de Toledo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 42nd minute, Elivélton Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tupancireta SC's zone, Dagoberto Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Paulista came out of the goal and Dagoberto Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dagoberto Galvão to make the kick off. Duarte Valladares made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Fabiano Fernandes sent off a good shot on target. Baiazinha's Erasmo Alagoano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tupancireta SC. Leopoldo Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Patrick Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Dinei Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tupancireta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinei Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Baiazinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinei Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Duarte Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baiazinha's Duarte Valladares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Baiazinha from getting a goal against them. Duarte Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Montenegro in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Montenegro in the 74th minute of play forced Baiazinha's goalkeeper Duarte Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tupancireta SC's Edmílson Ramalho suffered a concussion after 75 minutes and had to leave the field. Eduardo Souza's late challenge caught a Tupancireta SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Souza helped the player get up and apologised. Eduardo Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Tupancireta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Galvão came free, but Patrick Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fabiano Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leopoldo Fontes struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Patrick Paulista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baiazinha. If Dagoberto Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Valladares having to interfere.
