Spectators: 7044 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Simão Pimenta started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nestor Moreira hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Sly FC's Osvaldo Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dadá Meireles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caucaia FC's goalkeeper Dadá Meireles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sly FC's zone, Simão Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luís Moreira came out of the goal and Simão Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruninho Guerra took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Luís Moreira. André Luís Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 24th minute, Dedé Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes Sly FC got a freekick which was hit by Wágner de Barros. It was beautiful to see Caucaia FC's Reynaldo Vinhas in action when he in the 29th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 31st minute Nestor Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luís Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bebeto Esteves hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Caucaia FC's Reynaldo Vinhas tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bruninho Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. André Luís Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Caucaia FC's Simão Pimenta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Luís Moreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bruninho Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Murilo Pereira made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sly FC's goalkeeper André Luís Moreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruninho Guerra. Dadá Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Zanette in the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Osvaldo Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sly FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Zanette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruninho Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. André Luís Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 played minutes Caucaia FC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Corrêa. In the 65th minute of the match Christiano Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dadá Meireles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Bruninho Guerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caucaia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Sly FC's zone, Elias Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luís Moreira came out of the goal and Elias Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simão Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. André Luís Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murilo Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dadá Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Murilo Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sly FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dadá Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Zanette in the 86th minute of play forced Caucaia FC's goalkeeper Dadá Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dadá Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Zanette in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Bruninho Guerra notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Sly FC's André Luís Moreira. André Luís Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 93 minutes into the game, Simão Pimenta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of André Luís Moreira. Simão Pimenta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Caucaia FC played a much better game than Sly FC and deserved their victory. The Sly FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
