Rodrigo Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Citizens Blues F.C's goalkeeper Dedé Fontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Mateus Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. AIK Scotland Lyonais's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedé Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 26 minutes, Fernandinho Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIK Scotland Lyonais and the Citizens Blues F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernandinho Almeida hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Rodrigo Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateus Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Fontes having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Carlos Sousa to strike the kick off in the second half. After 73 minutes of play, AIK Scotland Lyonais's Antônio Carlos Sousa made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dedé Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Amadeu Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Citizens Blues F.C's Dedé Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Citizens Blues F.C from getting a goal against them. Mateus Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Fontes having to interfere. Dedé Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Carlos Sousa in the 92nd minute. Mateus Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
