Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Simão Pimenta got the match started through his kick off. Duarte Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Guerra in the 40th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dagoberto Galvão to make the kick off. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Duarte Valladares. The supporters of Caucaia FC booed when Baiazinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Caucaia FC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Moreira. The Caucaia FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Caucaia FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
