In the 25th match minute, Matutina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Edinho Mazza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elivélton Moraes. FÊNIX F. C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edinho Mazza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Elivélton Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Matutina booed when FÊNIX F. C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elivélton Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natanael de Sousa's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute.
