A collision led to Micaelos F C getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Nuno do Vale hit a great ball. Richard Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Barros in the 3rd minute of the match. Muriaé FC's Pedro Augusto Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olívio Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júlio Vander in the 18th minute. Micaelos F C's Richard Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Barros in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Micaelos F C's Betão Araújo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Betão Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Micaelos F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Dracena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Júlio Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Olívio Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Araújo in the 39th minute of play forced Muriaé FC's goalkeeper Olívio Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betão Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Olívio Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 minutes of play, Muriaé FC's Wesley Barros made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Betão Araújo to make the kick off. Betão Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Araújo in the 58th minute of the match. Olívio Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Betão Araújo made a precise shot to the right of Olívio Dracena. Muriaé FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Olívio Dracena came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Micaelos F C's Betão Araújo. But to his dismay, Betão Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Olívio Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Araújo in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Júlio Vander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio Dracena was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 80th minute Betão Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olívio Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Araújo in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Muriaé FC's Fabinho Valle got a free kick in the 86th minute. Betão Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Olívio Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nuno do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Betão Araújo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Olívio Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Micaelos F C. There was no doubt that Micaelos F C were the better team. Micaelos F C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
