Chambica SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bebeto Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Dracena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Téo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muriaé FC's Olívio Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Lopez in the 21st minute of play. Chambica SC's Kléberson Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Chambica SC from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Pedro Augusto Sanches got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute Wesley Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. That made the score 0-1 in the 68 minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Chambica SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Lopez to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wesley Barros in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kléberson Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute Wesley Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pedro Augusto Sanches's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kléberson Guedes was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
