Spectators: 6661 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Pardinho's Oscar Antunes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juninho Tinoco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robinho Tróia went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 7th minute of the match, Silvério Damião got a very nice opportunity to score, but Juninho Tinoco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Simão Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Silvério Damião charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvério Damião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pardinho's Silvério Damião got a free kick in the 11th minute. Cristian Carioca's late challenge caught a Pardinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Carioca helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Petróleo EC's Cristian Carioca got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Pardinho's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Corrêa came free, but Murillo Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murillo Furlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Maria Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. José Maria Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Murillo Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juninho Tinoco came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Pardinho's Robinho Tróia. But to his dismay, Robinho Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Petróleo EC's Cristian Carioca got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Duarte Sarmento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juninho Tinoco, 3-0. Juninho Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Seco in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match Marcel Marquez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murillo Furlan skillfully saved the ball. José Maria Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes, João Paulo Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petróleo EC and the Pardinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Petróleo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Marinho to maneuver through the defense. Juninho Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robinho Tróia in the 43rd minute. Francisco Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, one of Petróleo EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Petróleo EC. Juninho Tinoco went to the wrong direction when Jailson de Senna was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When Jailson de Senna got free in front of the goal in the 48th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Juninho Tinoco was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Maria Ramos to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, José Maria Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petróleo EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Maria Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Petróleo EC's José Maria Ramos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murillo Furlan. That made the score 3-1 after 61 minutes of play. José Maria Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Simão Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petróleo EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murillo Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Maria Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Furlan having to interfere. Petróleo EC's João Paulo Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Petróleo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Sarmento came free, but Juninho Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Antunes in the 77th minute of play forced Petróleo EC's goalkeeper Juninho Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes Petróleo EC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Carioca. Murillo Furlan made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when José Maria Ramos sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Pardinho's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Ramos came free, but Murillo Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murillo Furlan made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Cristian Carioca sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petróleo EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
