With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Luz in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Linares saved Sallesopolis FC from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cássio de Moraes made a kick off. A collision led to Detronados getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Eriberto Aparecido hit a great ball. Narciso Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Linares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Luz's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Sallesopolis FC's Narciso Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Fantini in the 60th minute of play. Detronados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Romero in the 91st minute of play forced Sallesopolis FC's goalkeeper Narciso Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percival Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
