César Custódio came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Sampa Team's Pedro Paulo Borges. But to his dismay, Pedro Paulo Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umberto Nogueira made a kick off. After some careless play in the Sampa Team defense, Luciano Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Carvalho. The Sampa Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Carvalho should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Sampa Team getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. João Adolfo Mandrak hit a great ball. Clemente Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. If Luciano Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 95 played minutes, Camburi's Vinícius Magalhães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Carvalho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Camburi reached it. Carlos Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Umberto Nogueira went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Camburi had won after a very even match.
