Spectators: 7201 (Terracing: 5402, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dedê Aparecido took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to VegetalFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Cacá Linhares hit a great ball. Edgard Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, VegetalFC's Dedê Aparecido made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Cardoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute Dedê Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Tomé Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Brito was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alexandre Macedo. In the 27th minute, aGalope!'s Miguel Mendes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fred Brito. Fred Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Dedê Aparecido struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Severino Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VegetalFC. Cacá Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Téo da Cunhas short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Fred Brito to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Edgard Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Mendes was the one to do the kick off. Severino Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgard Guedes in the 63rd minute. Dedê Aparecido might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dedê Aparecido ran back to his position shaking his head. When Dedê Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the VegetalFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê Aparecido couldn't finish the play. Cacá Linhares's late challenge caught a aGalope!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cacá Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, VegetalFC's Cacá Linhares got a free kick in the 74th minute. Alexandre Macedo, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 78 minutes into the match, VegetalFC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Mendes came free, but Fred Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedê Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Severino Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedê Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgard Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgard Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Cardoso having to interfere. After 95 played minutes, VegetalFC's Donato de Lima shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severino Cardoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VegetalFC reached it. VegetalFC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing aGalope! to leave the ground with a draw.
