Vágner de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael de Alcântara having to interfere. Josué Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ismael de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, BRC Weed Dogs MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erivaldo Pena to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vágner de Toledo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael de Alcântara saved BRC Weed Dogs MZC from getting behind. A collision led to Porto Alegre Ursos getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jailson de Queiroz hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Vágner de Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael de Alcântara. BRC Weed Dogs MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vágner de Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in BRC Weed Dogs MZC's zone, Josué Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael de Alcântara came out of the goal and Josué Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Josué Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Hjortstrøm in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, BRC Weed Dogs MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner de Toledo came free, but Ismael de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vágner de Toledo was the one to do the kick off. BRC Weed Dogs MZC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Jailson de Queiroz scored to the left of an out of position Ismael de Alcântara, making the score, 0-3. 57 minutes into the game, Porto Alegre Ursos's Vágner de Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael de Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Ismael de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Josué Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Guerra came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by BRC Weed Dogs MZC's Richard Hjortstrøm. But to his dismay, Richard Hjortstrøm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. When Richard Hjortstrøm came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the BRC Weed Dogs MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Hjortstrøm couldn't finish the play. When Vágner de Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porto Alegre Ursos's protests and gave Vágner de Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Vágner de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner de Toledo in the 80th minute of the match. BRC Weed Dogs MZC's Ismael de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner de Toledo in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Vágner de Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael de Alcântara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. In the 88th minute Vágner de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael de Alcântara came out of the goal and Jailson de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Vágner de Toledo in the 92nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Ismael de Alcântara kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-7 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The Porto Alegre Ursos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Porto Alegre Ursos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
