Tales Mendes's late challenge caught a Expresso Antares FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tales Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, EONBONGO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Lara having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Expresso Antares FC's João Augusto Negri got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldo Trevisan during the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Dante in the 43rd minute of play forced Expresso Antares FC's goalkeeper Amílton Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in EONBONGO FC's zone, João Augusto Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Hermes came out of the goal and João Augusto Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 46 played minutes EONBONGO FC got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Fontes. EONBONGO FC's Edgar Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Dante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hélder Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Hoffmann in the 54th minute of the match. Edgar Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moisés Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Tales Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Hélder Hoffmann notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of EONBONGO FC's Ricardo Hermes. Ricardo Hermes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute, Hélder Hoffmann made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Hermes. EONBONGO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ricardo Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Hoffmann in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Luizão Bezerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ricardo Hermes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amílton Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafa Ramalho in the 87th minute. 91 minutes into the match, EONBONGO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Hoffmann came free, but Ricardo Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Lara having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Hélder Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Expresso Antares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Hermes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Expresso Antares FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
