The AA Serginho MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 6 minutes into the match, AA Serginho MZC's Conrado Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Cavalcante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 11 in the game by Giuseppe Pirani from a close distance when the talented José Cordeiro managed to make a qualified save. AA Serginho MZC's players were relieved. In the 12th minute of the match, Carlinhos de Godoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Cordeiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. AA Serginho MZC's José Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlinhos de Godoi in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Giuseppe Pirani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Susto AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. José Cordeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giuseppe Pirani in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Susto AD's Kiko Rosado got a free kick in the 22nd minute. José Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Giuseppe Pirani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Cordeiro having to make a save. José Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos de Godoi in the 30th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, AA Serginho MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos de Godoi came free, but José Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Giuseppe Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Susto AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giuseppe Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Cordeiro having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

52 minutes into the match, Egídio Chaves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luiz Cavalcante. Susto AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egídio Chaves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Susto AD's Jorge Araújo suffered a concussion after 57 minutes and had to leave the field. José Augusto Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Augusto Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Giuseppe Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Susto AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrique Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Secco struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. José Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Susto AD. Márcio Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giuseppe Pirani struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. José Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Susto AD. When Falcão Valle fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AA Serginho MZC's protests and gave Falcão Valle a yellow card for diving instead. Falcão Valle hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Henrique Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. José Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Frank Secco came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Susto AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Secco couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the match, Susto AD's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Cavalcante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Vale. Despite being the better team, Susto AD failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
