After a rather tough play, DinossauroCaolho's Victor Leal got a free kick in the 21st minute. MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s Eriberto Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save MONTES CLAROS F. C. from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute, Rony Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eriberto Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. MONTES CLAROS F. The crowd rose to their feet as DinossauroCaolho's Victor Leal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eriberto Medeiros. That made the score 2-0 after 45 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Leal made a kick off. Jorginho Soeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomás Pernambucano having to make a save. The DinossauroCaolho support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
