In the 8th match minute, Chatuba de Mesquita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarcisio Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Roberto de Toledo, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. After some careless play in the Laurentino da Gama defense, Tarcisio Duarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafinha Mendes. The Laurentino da Gama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafinha Mendes should have stopped the shot. Laurentino da Gama's Rafinha Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Hermes in the 29th minute of play. Rafinha Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Cardoso in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Laurentino da Gama's zone, Téo Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafinha Mendes came out of the goal and Téo Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tarcisio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomé Berger got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Laurentino da Gama getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tomé Berger hit a great ball. Chatuba de Mesquita's Tarcisio Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Emílio Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Chatuba de Mesquita fans jumped to their feet. In the 87th minute, Matías Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Laurentino da Gama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Willian Cardoso was slow to take the kick. During this time Chatuba de Mesquita's players had a chance to rest. Rafinha Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emílio Paiva's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Laurentino da Gama's Rafinha Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Hermes in the 92nd minute of play. Emílio Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafinha Mendes having to make a save.
