The referee ignored Chatuba de Mesquita's protests and gave Reinaldo Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 minutes of play, Chatuba de Mesquita's Geovanni Azevedo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Caveira Taubate FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nelson Trigo hit a great ball. After 16 minutes, Patrick Valadares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chatuba de Mesquita and the Caveira Taubate FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patrick Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the match Dino Fernandez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedrão Galvão skillfully saved the ball. When Reinaldo Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Chatuba de Mesquita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Guerra couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Caveira Taubate FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Aloísio Prestes hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Caveira Taubate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Hermes came free, but Osmar Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarcisio Duarte hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute of the match Dino Fernandez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedrão Galvão skillfully saved the ball. Pedrão Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Nogueira in the 35th minute of play. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Osmar Varela, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Téo Hermes in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osmar Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Patrick Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Varela having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, Chatuba de Mesquita's Téo Hermes made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Téo Hermes made the kick off in the second half. Dráuzio Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Galvão having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Tarcisio Duarte made a precise shot to the right of Osmar Varela. Caveira Taubate FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Caveira Taubate FC's Osmar Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Hermes in the 61st minute of play. Vitinho Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willian Cardoso hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Téo Hermes took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osmar Varela. Osmar Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Pedrão Galvão was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Valdir Sarmento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valdir Sarmento really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Geovanni Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chatuba de Mesquita's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanni Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Chatuba de Mesquita players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
