Rafinha Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Senin in the 24th minute of play. Armandinho Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Maruai booed when Laurentino da Gama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tamer Açıker in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafinha Mendes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34thth minute of the game Tamer Açıker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laurentino da Gama's Rafinha Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tamer Açıker to make the kick off. Tamer Açıker came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rafinha Mendes could save by the left post. Rafinha Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tamer Açıker's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. If Jonas Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matías Mattos hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tamer Açıker got free with Rafinha Mendes in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tamer Açıker in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafinha Mendes saved Laurentino da Gama from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Tamer Açıker got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 73 minutes into the match, Laurentino da Gama's goal looked a bit too open when Tamer Açıker came free, but Rafinha Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Tamer Açıker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafinha Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Francisco Senin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafinha Mendes having to make a save. Rafinha Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tamer Açıker's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. If Tamer Açıker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Senin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dé Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Armandinho Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Maruai left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Laurentino da Gama.
