In the 15th minute, Jonathan Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Vitinho Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Gaspar having to interfere. Jonathan Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Vitinho Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walmir Gaspar was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitinho Nogueira to make the kick off. The supporters of Alyatan FC booed when Caveira Taubate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Osmar Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ramos took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osmar Varela. Osmar Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Osmar Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Caveira Taubate FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alexandre Magalhães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jonathan Ramos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 72nd match minute, Alyatan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Arce to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Caveira Taubate FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Valdir Sarmento hit a great ball. Alexandre Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Osmar Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alyatan FC.
