Cipriano Arantes's late challenge caught a Maruai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Valdir Madureira was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. But to his dismay, Tamer Açıker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. When the match was over Maruai could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Saldanha throughout the match.
