Antônio Carlos Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Mendes having to interfere. Dé Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Basílio Dias made a huge save. Rafinha Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes, Tomé Berger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laurentino da Gama and the TumTum FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Laurentino da Gama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Berger to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natanael Ceresso in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Ernani Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Carlos Ramalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafinha Mendes having to make a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natanael Ceresso made a kick off. Rafinha Mendes made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Antônio Carlos Ramalho sent off a good shot on target. TumTum FC's Basílio Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natanael Ceresso in the 57th minute of play. When Rony Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the TumTum FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Gomes couldn't finish the play. In the 64th match minute, TumTum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Dias came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Laurentino da Gama's Dé Corrêa. But to his dismay, Dé Corrêa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Laurentino da Gama's Gilberto Nogueira got a free kick in the 70th minute. Basílio Dias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomé Berger's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, TumTum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Ceresso came free, but Basílio Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Laurentino da Gama's Natanael Ceresso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basílio Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Antônio Carlos Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TumTum FC's Basílio Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Corrêa in the 88th minute of play. Antônio Carlos Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rafinha Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Antônio Carlos Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TumTum FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Carlos Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurentino da Gama's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
