An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléberson Trancoso in the 9th minute of play forced Ceifeiros da Morte's goalkeeper Wanderson Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Carlos Eduardo Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Vito Carioca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilson Meireles. Fastama Top FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vito Carioca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cléberson Trancoso spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ceifeiros da Morte's goal. In the 40th minute, Evaristo Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gilvan Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Fastama Top FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan Coutinho couldn't finish the play. Vito Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Meireles having to interfere. Mazinho Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The audience was convinced that Cléberson Trancoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wanderson Simões was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. A collision led to Fastama Top FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Luís Cardozo hit a great ball. Benjamin Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fastama Top FC's goalkeeper Gilson Meireles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Kiko Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Celso Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilson Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gilson Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Fastama Top FC's Gilson Meireles got control of the ball when Carlos Eduardo Veloso tried to sneak it across the goal line.
