Claudinei Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 17 played minutes The Ducks Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Rossi. 19 minutes into the game, Maurinho Gaspar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Ducks Sport Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bartolomeu EC the free kick. In the 19th match minute, The Ducks Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fábio Torres acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eurico Brodel. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Melo in the 22nd minute of play forced Bartolomeu EC's goalkeeper Caco Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Erik Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bartolomeu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fábio Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlinhos Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ducks Sport Club's Maurinho Gaspar got his second yellow card of the match in the 27th minute. The referee ordered Maurinho Gaspar off the ground. After a defensive mix-up in The Ducks Sport Club's zone, Reinaldo Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio Torres came out of the goal and Reinaldo Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matheus Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luís Fábio Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, The Ducks Sport Club's Luís Fábio Torres got control of the ball when Matheus Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caco Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Melo in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. César Melo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Bartolomeu EC booed when The Ducks Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matheus Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belmiro Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, The Ducks Sport Club's Sandrinho Rocha got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Caco Hermes. A collision led to The Ducks Sport Club getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Aníbal Soeiro hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Carlinhos Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bartolomeu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlinhos Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Garcia in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fábio Torres saved The Ducks Sport Club from getting behind. If Matheus Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bartolomeu EC's Caco Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Bartolomeu EC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of The Ducks Sport Club booed when Bartolomeu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, The Ducks Sport Club's Wanderson Mello got a free kick in the 84th minute. Belmiro Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Bartolomeu EC were awarded a corner. Eurico Brodel went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Bartolomeu EC's corner Eurico Brodel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luís Fábio Torres quite easily take care of the ball. Carlinhos Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, The Ducks Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Garcia came free, but Luís Fábio Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Ducks Sport Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
