Giuseppe Arce made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Anderson Alves sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, Robinho Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Belucci F.C's Giuseppe Arce got control of the ball when Anderson Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giuseppe Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Medeiros in the 25th minute of the match. When Anselmo Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Vera Cruz FN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Medeiros couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Roger Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belucci F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Roger Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Vera Cruz FN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo Medeiros made a kick off. Belucci F.C's Juvenal Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eusébio Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anselmo Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Juvenal Zanette blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Carioca having to make a save. The supporters of Vera Cruz FN booed when Belucci F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Arce having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Belucci F.C's Roberto Gonçalves got a free kick in the 74th minute. After 78 played minutes Vera Cruz FN got a freekick which was hit by Robinho Peres. Juvenal Zanette might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eusébio Carioca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juvenal Zanette ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Alves in the 89th minute of play forced Belucci F.C's goalkeeper Giuseppe Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robinho Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robinho Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vera Cruz FN getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Robinho Peres hit a great ball. Roger Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Carioca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juvenal Zanette in the 94th minute.
