Lucas Teixeira came out of the goal and Walmir Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmir Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Teixeira having to interfere. Arnaldo de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Lucas Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The São Paulo Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FLAurca were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Didi Marinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Severino Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Marinho in the 51st minute of the match. 54 minutes in the game, Walmir Maranhense fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lucas Teixeira having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmir Maranhense in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the match, FLAurca's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Marinho came free, but Severino Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmir Maranhense was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Arnaldo de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lucas Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Caco Linhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FLAurca and the São Paulo Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. FLAurca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmir Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over FLAurca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than São Paulo Futebol Clube throughout the match.
