Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lyndt's Wilton de Medeiros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wiliam Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Dracena having to interfere. After some careless play in the Lyndt defense, Wiliam Pena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jânio Dracena. The Lyndt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jânio Dracena should have stopped the shot. Donato Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. With a little luck, Japaratinga's Ulysses Freitas got control of the ball when Chiquinho Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 13 played minutes Japaratinga got a freekick which was hit by Didi Paraense. Wilton de Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulysses Freitas having to make a save. Jânio Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Chiquinho Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sílvio Luiz Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Japaratinga's goalkeeper Ulysses Freitas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chiquinho Quintal. Oswaldo Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Japaratinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Paraense to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Eurico Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Japaratinga's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jânio Dracena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Romário Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Japaratinga booed when Lyndt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Chiquinho Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyndt's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 69th match minute, Lyndt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Japaratinga's Joel Sergipano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ulysses Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton de Medeiros in the 74th minute of play. Japaratinga's Wiliam Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chiquinho Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton de Medeiros in the 85th minute of play. Ulysses Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Japaratinga's Eurico Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eurico Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Dracena having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Japaratinga walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
