The goalkeeper, Simão Sousa, was totally fooled by Draken Fotbollförening's Oscar Félix, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Raí Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Simão Sousa made a huge save. Simão Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeu Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Sydney Bittencourt charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 35th minute of the match, Hugo Macedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Simão Sousa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Raí Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simão Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Macedo in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Hugo Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simão Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Macedo in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Macedo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Demoregi SC's zone, Hugo Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Sousa came out of the goal and Hugo Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Almir Tavares charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
