In the 45th minute Walmyr Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walmyr Vinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Walmyr Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Flamute FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmyr Vinhas couldn't finish the play. Dagoberto Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Bordat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes of play Flamute FC's André Luís Sampaio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Flamute FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. André Luís Sampaio hit a great ball. Jardel de Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilson da Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jardel de Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 86 minutes, Isidoro Bordat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamute FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Bordat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93 played minutes Cerquilho got a freekick which was hit by Allan Pinheiro. Flamute FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
