Cleiton Saraiva came out of the goal and Delfim Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Delfim Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vingadores.F.C's Cleiton Saraiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Delfim Borgess short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Cleiton Saraiva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zé Augusto de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Cleiton Saraiva made a huge save. Cleiton Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Cunha in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match, Delfim Borges tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cleiton Saraiva saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With his leg Cleiton Saraiva managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Veterano's Delfim Borges fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delfim Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 73rd match minute, Vingadores.F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Quadros to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Veterano's goalkeeper Benjamim Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Salgado.
