Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Celso Cerezo made the kick off and thus started the match. Luisinho Pitta came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Republica's Mário Guerra. But to his dismay, Mário Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Republica's zone, Juarês Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aníbal de Toledo came out of the goal and Juarês Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot by Erik Figueiredo from long distance, 8 minutes into the match, got Aníbal de Toledo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. José Maria de Salles struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Aníbal de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crisopolis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerônimo Meira got free with Aníbal de Toledo in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Vaz in the 17th minute of play forced Crisopolis's goalkeeper Luisinho Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through a series of nice moves, Crisopolis's José Maria de Salles on his own came free in the 18th minute of the match and shot 1-1 behind a disappointed Aníbal de Toledo. Jerônimo Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Crisopolis's Celso Cerezo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aníbal de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celso Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aníbal de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maria de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal de Toledo having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Hermínio Donatello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Republica and the Crisopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Hermínio Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Maria de Salles's late challenge caught a Republica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Maria de Salles helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st match minute, Crisopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria de Salles to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Crisopolis's zone, Elivélton Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Republica's Aníbal de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Republica from getting a goal against them. Crisopolis's José Maria de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Republica booed when Crisopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elivélton Vaz to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Celso Cerezo put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aníbal de Toledo. Republica's Aníbal de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Cerezo in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Republica's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Cerezo came free, but Aníbal de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Cerezo in the 62nd minute of play forced Republica's goalkeeper Aníbal de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Adolfo Perez in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luisinho Pitta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zézinho Sarmento charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zézinho Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Crisopolis's Zézinho Sarmento got a free kick in the 67th minute. Republica's João Adolfo Perez came free and shot a quick shot against goal 68 minutes in the game, fortunately Luisinho Pitta had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Aníbal de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, José Maria de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crisopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Republica's zone, Jerônimo Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aníbal de Toledo came out of the goal and Jerônimo Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Celso Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juarês Quirino in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aníbal de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enéas Alcântara scored 4-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aníbal de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
