An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Neves in the 36th minute of play forced Xupetas's goalkeeper Silvério Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Dieguinho de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xupetas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dieguinho de Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jefferson Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Aírton Neves made a precise shot to the right of Silvério Lopez. Xupetas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Laerte Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. In the 74th minute of the match Paulinho Loyola sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manoel Hames skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Jefferson Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xupetas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvério Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Dieguinho de Sousa took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Manoel Hames to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lino Mandrak during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Boleras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Guerra to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Xupetas players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
