Cristian Freire was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24thth minute of the game Christian Severo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caracarai SS's Cristian Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Basílio Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wágner Matorin's late challenge caught a Boizebu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Freire showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Caracarai SS's Luiz Fabiano Quintal got a free kick in the 40th minute. Caracarai SS's Cristian Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Alvarenga in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wágner Matorin to make the kick off. The Boizebu FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Boizebu FC's zone, Wágner Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Rezende came out of the goal and Wágner Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Severo got free with Cristian Freire in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boizebu FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
