The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5thth minute of the game Gernando Ramalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcelos's Vicente Passos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barcelos's Vicente Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Batista in the 6th minute of play. Gernando Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes Barcelos got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Favoretto. When Boleras FC's Otávio Batista in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barcelos's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Boleras FC's zone, Kléberson de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Hames came out of the goal and Kléberson de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Boleras FC's Otávio Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Passos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Otávio Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Otávio Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Otávio Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46thth minute of the game Gernando Ramalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcelos's Vicente Passos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Boleras FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 56th match minute, Boleras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Boleras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson de Azevedo came free, but Manoel Hames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manoel Hames showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson de Azevedo in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Otávio Batista got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gernando Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Gernando Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boleras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Passos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gernando Ramalho's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Boleras FC's Norberto Ortiz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 84th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vicente Passos but with some difficulty. In the 88th minute, Barcelos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Otávio Batista fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match was over Boleras FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Barcelos throughout the match.
