Ernesto Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walmyr Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Walmyr Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Ernesto Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragão Mecânico. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

André Rosado's late challenge caught a U.S. Palermo Uxx's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Baptista hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walmyr Ceresso in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Gaúcho saved U.S. Palermo Uxx from getting behind. 64 minutes into the game, Walmyr Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ernesto Gaúcho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Tomás de Azevedo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. In the 73rd minute Dragão Mecânico were awarded a corner. Delfim Baptista went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Dragão Mecânico's corner Delfim Baptista fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ernesto Gaúcho quite easily take care of the ball. Walmyr Ceresso might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Gaúcho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmyr Ceresso ran back to his position shaking his head. Walmyr Ceresso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Gaúcho having to make a save. Gil Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Gaúcho having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Maciel in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Gaúcho saved U.S. Palermo Uxx from getting behind. Jaime Maciel got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 91st match minute, Dragão Mecânico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Maciel to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Dragão Mecânico's Jonas de Carvalho got control of the ball when Carlos Augusto Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emílio Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jonas de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
