Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clóvis Massa started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adalberto Fantini got free with Ernesto Mendes in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mané Pena hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Mané Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clóvis Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Mendes having to interfere. Ernesto Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Naldo de Sena put in a rough tackle. After having played for 18 minutes, Adalberto Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iguai FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adalberto Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Iguai FC's Clóvis Massa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ernesto Mendes. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Jailson de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Lara in the 27th minute of play. When Mané Pena came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the C. R. Alquimistas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Pena couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Iguai FC's Adalberto Fantini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ernesto Mendes. That made the score 3-0 after 32 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clóvis Massa in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Mendes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Frank Lara made the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Umberto Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. R. Alquimistas's protests and gave Umberto Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Iguai FC booed when C. R. Alquimistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Massa in the 64th minute of play forced C. R. Alquimistas's goalkeeper Ernesto Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in C. R. Alquimistas's zone, Clóvis Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Mendes came out of the goal and Clóvis Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Adalberto Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, Iguai FC's Adalberto Fantini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 82nd match minute, C. R. Alquimistas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Amorim to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Massa in the 87th minute of play forced C. R. Alquimistas's goalkeeper Ernesto Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jailson de Sena made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Frank Lara sent off a good shot on target. Frank Lara's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Jailson de Sena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Iguai FC's zone, Frank Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson de Sena came out of the goal and Frank Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Iguai FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while C. R. Alquimistas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
